There are 3 types of vowel sounds.

They are:
Monothongs – 1 vowel sound in 1 vowel syllable.

Diphthongs – 2 vowel sounds in 1 vowel syllable.

(New cow bites boy’s roadway)

Triphthongs – 3 vowel sounds in 1 vowel syllable.
