Can you write a short friendship story?

Wrote this 4 years ago.
Hope you like it! Please forgive me for any grammatical or sentence construction errors that might have crept in.

Au-Revoir (This is a mix of a play and a short story)
(Two boys aged somewhere between 20 and 22 is sitting in a typical hostel room, the room have two beds and they both are room-mates.
Their vision are glued on the laptop screen, they seem to be pretty engrossed in whatever they are doing.
The camera screen zooms a little to capture what they are really doing…)
Akash: Why do you need a new g-mail id? I can retrieve your password of that old Gmail id of yours.
-it will be like reviving someone from the dead…
Yusuf: Aree bhai, please do not give me bullshit; I need to have an email id at the moment and reviving my old Gmail account is gonna take my time, which unfortunately at the moment I cannot waste.

Akash despite Yusuf’s repeated protests went on to ‘revive’ his old e-mail, but he knew that the so called reviving was no magic trick but a series of careful steps that needed to be followed and the only way out was to keep patience and calm.

With adept hands Akash kept typing and Yusuf muttered under his breath that he had little time as he had to receive some scanned copies of important documents which Yusuf needed to submit to his department.
Being a studious and serious student, he knew the importance and weight of time.

Akash: Please type your mobile number to get a code and yes your number ends with **3590, at least that is what Google says for the moment-
Yusuf is looking at Akash, his eyes indicative of the fact that he had defeated in pursuing him for the last fifteen minutes.
He obediently follows, typing the mobile number; the screen shows digits being entered…
**After several moments, rather minutes later Akash reaches a screen that shows Yusuf is required to give any e-mail id as a reference email-id in case Yusuf loses the password again and given the forgetful boy that he is, he may need that reference id in the near future itself.
**

Akash: I am entering my e-mail at the moment, so that you can get your password from here, my account itself.

Yusuf: Sounds fair enough then!
##Narration##
Akash and Yusuf are room-mates and friends for life- they studied in different departments though, Akash was in Computer Sciences and Yusuf was in Civil.
Akash is basically the guy you want to speak to for improving your computer’s performance.
A coding expert, and also an addict, Akash literally feeds on technology magazines and Yusuf could swear Akash has a hard on for gadgets and technological stuff.
Yusuf on the other hand is a simple and nincompoop fellow, the ones you see in villages.
He has a girl friend, studies in a reputed private college and gets good grades, but he is not into technology and geeky stuff.
Akash thought that his roommate had a pretty low take on life and was satisfied and content with whatever he had, this in fact irritated Akash the most.

Akash: [email protected]
com
, I have included this as a reference e-mail id, your work is now complete and (turning the laptop screen towards Yusuf) this is your inbox.

Yusuf: Aah, thanks man, I owe you one.

Akash: Yeah, well I’ll ask a small favor from you when the time is right, not now.

##Narration##
**Yusuf and Akash graduated and went in different directions in life; Yusuf had become the director of GB constructions, a multi-national company while on the other hand Akash had found a job at TCS recently and left his BPO job to join TCS.
Yusuf had progressed fast while Akash did at a much slower pace.
Life was full of conundrums for Akash who was trying to make both ends meet, his father had recently been diagnosed with artery clogging and he did not have enough money to pay for his operation.
**

(Scene shows a room packed with people enjoying themselves to the brim, a party is going on obviously given by the company GB constructions, Yusuf is seen making everybody feel comfortable.
There are foreign and international delegates from the other branches of the construction company.
Suddenly Yusuf’s phone rings and …)
Yusuf: Hello?
Ramanathan: Hi, Yusuf this is Ramanathan, senior President of GB constructions here (sternly).

Yusuf: Yes, sir, tell me what is the matter?
Ramanathan: Well, I hope you’re enjoying the party, but there is a small project that needs to be done right now.

Yusuf: Right now? As in right at this moment? Can’t I submit tomorrow morning?
Ramanathan: I am sending some details to you via e-mail please check and confirm…
Yusuf: But sir I am in the middle of a party!
Ramanathan: Remember what I told you, young man?
Yusuf: Yeah, never question your seniors!
##Yusuf disliking the very words of his boss went to a small room adjoining the rooms where the party is being organized.
His laptop and other accessories were safely kept in an almirah having a specific code.
Yusuf inserted his high speed 4G dongle and started accessing the internet, within seconds his Gmail screen was visible that politely asked Yusuf of his e-mail address and password.
But the champagne and scotch had worked their magic and Yusuf had forgotten his password…##
Yusuf: Shit, what was my password? Let me try this…
Yusuf had forgotten his password and could not remember it no matter how hard he tried; it seemed that his mind was failing him.
Already intoxicated with champagne and scotch, Yusuf had his mind going in circles and what not shapes.
However he had to remember the password as his boss had sent something really important and that needed some checking.
His mind had fallen into an eternal abyss and now that he had totally lost his password, he had no option other than sending a code or number to his reference id which is basically Akash’s email id.
Years had resulted in Yusuf’s dark, thick black hair to be thinner and increasing white hairs were visible now showing the amount of pressure Yusuf had been tackling for years.

**But how would he call Akash? They had been out of contact since they graduated, and after that both had gone very different and separate ways.
Akash was with the BPO when Yusuf had a chat with him, which was nearly seven to nine years ago.
Now the fact that Yusuf had to face Akash transfixed him, how would he talk? Akash must be surprised and offended at the same time that I had broken contact with him-Yusuf went on thinking little realizing that his boss would call again in a very short time to ask if he had seen the mail he sent.
Yusuf logged in Facebook to see if Akash was online-Voila! He was, but still Yusuf felt a tingling sensation out of excitement and fear to confront his long lost bestie.
**
(The scene shows Yusuf typing something on Facebook chat and it is safe to assume that it is Akash, but we see tension in Yusuf’s face as he is not getting even one reply from Akash.
After fifteen minutes of chatting tirelessly, and not getting a reply Yusuf got frustrated.
He called Mr.
Ramanathan to buy some more time giving Yusuf a maximum time limit of twenty minutes or twenty five minutes at the most.
)
Suddenly the phone rings and Yusuf’s heart skipped a beat…
Yusuf: Hello?
Akash: Hi Yusuf! I saw all your messages, sorry I was busy…
Suddenly hearing Akash’s voice after so long made Yusuf completely at ease, he immediately relaxed and began chatting with Akash, often expressing how sorry he was for not contacting with him all these years… Yusuf was flooded wet with nostalgia’s waves rushing over him, he immediately remembered and saw entire flashbacks of the foolish and stupid things they did with their friends at the hostel, ah, those were the days.
Suddenly though-
Akash: I accept your apologies; actually even I should have contacted you, so I guess we’re even.

Yusuf: Thank god! I actually require you favor once again…
Akash: Yes, Mr.
Director how could I help you (giggles)
Yusuf realized even though Akash did not contact him all these years, but he kept information of what Yusuf was doing and he even knew that Yusuf had been promoted to the post of a director at the construction company.
He felt guilty as he should have given the good news to Akash himself but now he was in an awkward and troubling position and could not do anything about it…
Finally seeing the clock, Yusuf mustered enough courage and finally asked under one breath-
Yusuf: Listen Akash I need to send a code to your e-mail id, my account, err … I actually forgot my password.

Akash: Ha ha ha, old habits die hard, don’t they?
Yes they do and in case of Yusuf old habits had a queer way of not dying even after so many years, Yusuf thus kept silent, for some moments he did not talk.
Akash understood and immediately took steps to reduce the tension between them.

Akash: Remember that time I told you that you owed me one?
Yusuf understood and was prepared to do anything that Akash requests him off- hell he even thought of financial matters because he knew Akash was struggling to make ends meet.
But what Akash told him silenced Yusuf and he realized his fault,
Akash: Don’t say Au-Revoir in this lifetime, let our friendship last…
**These were the last words that Akash told before hanging up the phone, apparently he knew time was valuable for his friend.
**
(Last scene shows Yusuf crying with his hands over his head, while Yusuf’s mobile ringed three consecutive times with the code from Akash…)
Cheers!

and then the hero and heroine hugged.
" Raj said.

"Can I ask you something?" Sanjay added.

"Yes, dost (friend).
" Raj permitted.

"Since last three stories, why hero and heroine give a hug to each other in the last scene? I never see my dad and mom hugging each other.
" Sanjay revealed.

After hearing those words, Raj had a laugh and Sanjay joined him too.

After that day's storytelling session, it became a routine between both kids, Raj and Sanjay.

Raj used to watch a movie every day and he used to narrate a story to his little friend Sanjay.

Sanjay was not only poor, but blind too.

But, Sanjay had his own vision via Raj.

Every day, at 6 in the eve, both used to meet at the bench near the old school.
It was the rare place of that village where rarely anyone used to visit.

Raj and Sanjay's communication always started with these two words of Sanjay, "Kahaani sunayega? (translation: will you tell me a story?)"
Raj used to say yes.
He never disappointed Sanjay ever.
Sometimes, even if Raj failed to watch any new movie, he used to make-up a story and Sanjay used to believe it.

One fine day, when Sanjay was waiting for Raj at their regular meeting point, he didn't appear.

It wasn't usual thing.
Thus Sanjay inquired.
After digging further, he found that Raj left the village along with his family.

Sanjay was in shock.
He felt like he lost his eyes.
But, somehow, that kid managed himself.

After 15 years, Raj returned to his village.
He visited Sanjay's place and realized things were changed.
Sanjay got his vision.
He was not blind anymore thanks to advance medical science.

As Sanjay was not at his home, his mother adviced Raj to wait for him.
But, Raj scanned the wall clock and rushed for somewhere.

It was 6 when Raj reached to the bench near the old school.
But, he didn't find anyone around.
Thus, he thought maybe Sanjay forgot him.

Just when he was about to leave that place a voice came, "Abey Kamine,” (translation: hey, you, idiot)
Raj turned around.

And he found a fimiliar face, who added, "Kahaani sunayega?"
Raj smiled and both hugged each-other.
Later, Raj asked him how he identified him after fifteen year?
"How can I forget my eyes?" He answered.
But, he didn't tell him that it was his mom who informed him about Raj's arrival via call.
Because, after all, it didn't matter at all.

20th may the date was calling me.
It was my best friend's birthday.
We don't talk so often now days, me busy in life and she living far away from me but the days of our era were revolving just in front of me I remember days where everyone used to define our friendship with one word chuthiyas we actually loved it, we were best of friends like she was the first person to swipe off my tears whenever I was hurt, she was the reason of my happiness and reason behind my happiness.
I picked up my phone and dialed her number for the first time no one picked it and then the second time her mother picked it and I was able to hear her cry so badly
“ aunty what happened, where's nisha?”
She was still crying and after a long gasp she answered “she is looking us from heaven”
The world just stop…….
after a long time of realizing that aunty is still there on phone I replied “I m coming" those words from my mouth were the most difficult words I could have ever said.

I reached there everyone wearing white, crying ,throwing there bodies on her but I didn't.

Aunty came and handed me a piece of paper
“She wrote it to u in her last breaths” I opened it and at that moment my first tear rolled down from the infinite sky of melancholy, I couldn't stop crying I just felt the world has ended it was unbearable.

It was written iodiot don't bring your ugly face near my grave, this time I wouldn't be there to swipe off your tears from nisha to bithch…….

There were two friends named Rahul and Raghav.
One single day, while they were on their way to Delhi city they met with an accident.
The other morning, while Rahul was still lying unconscious ; Raghav woke up with blind eyes.
The doctor was looking at the reports of Rahul when he woke up.
The doctor was looking at Rahul with benevolent eyes as he was diagnosed with blood cancer.
Rahul decided to donate his eyes when he dies.
He asked the doctor not to disclose this to Raghav.

As time passed by, their friendship started deteriorating gradually and Raghav started to avoid Rahul as he thought that it's worthless to have a friend who die after a few days.
Rahul became depressed and died soon.
Raghav came to the burial of Rahul where he was offered a letter by the doctor.
It was written by Rahul ! It read that “I want to donate my eyes for you Raghav when I will die.
” It drove tears from Raghav's eyes and he started crying and remembering those days when they used to be together.

MORAL OF THE STORY :
No matter what you do to your friends, they will always be by your side in your bad times.

Kavya : Don’t you dare do it again .
Or I won’t ever talk to you again .

Soha : ( Crying badly ) But you tell then what should I do .
Just look at it , this piece of paper has destroyed my life .

The paper in her hand said ‘ Its Positive ’.
This was a medical report , A report which said that Soha was HIV ( Aids ) positive .
She didn’t knew how she got infected , a month back when she felt weak she went for a medical test and this was the result .
From the last two weeks when people near her came to know about it , they started maintaing gap , treated her rudely , even her family wasn’t ready to accept her after this .
Everyone was pointing finger on her character that she must have sexual relationships with different guys .
She was so tired and exhausted of listening all this that she tried to commit suicide but at the right time her childhood best friend cum neighbour cum soul sister came for her rescue and saved her life .

Kavya : ( while hugging Soha ) How could anything destroy your life when I am with you dear .
I love you no matter what .
You said we will share everything then how could you have all this pain alone .

Soha : ( Still crying ) But how ?? We don’t have a solution at all .

Kavya : ( Wiping her tears ) We have , I have solution to all your problems .
I have talked to my brother about this , his friend is a doctor we will go to him and get you treated , you will be fine soon .

Soha : ( Having hope in her eyes ) I will be fine sure ?? I m not wrong or charactless , you know na Kavya ??
Kavya : Shhhh….
Now you will prove yourself to me .
I know you more than you know yourself , more than this society .
You will be absolutely fine and now promise me you won’t do anything like this again ?? Swear on our friendship ??

Soha : I promise I won’t do anything like this .
I won’t lose hope nor be a loser .
I will live proudly.
I m lucky I had a friend like you .

Kavya : Thats my girl .
We both are lucky to have each other .
Now smile .

She smiled , they both hugged each other .
Once again they both became each others strength when the world was against them .
The two small girls playfully holded hands and became friends today being adult girls did justice with every promise they made to each other .

Note 1 : Friendship has no religion .
Just two pure souls .

Note 2 : A sick person doesn’t only need medicines but also a caring hand , a loving hug and a friendly soul .
If the disease is not communicable don’t throw these people into dark holes .

Note 3 : Never judge a person when you don’t know their story .
Maybe you haven’t felt the pain they are suffering everyday .

Thanks for giving your precious time to read my words .

I can share you what happened today in my life.
.

Few days back my watch strap broke and I am feeling uneasy without a watch to my left hand.
Yesterday nyt I saw some offers on watches and selection process started.
Two watches attracted me so much, but there is a cost difference of 750rs between them.
Since I liked both I went with the one which is cheaper than the other.

Just before checking out I sent the pics of those watches to my closest friend.
She told, “Both are good, what’s your choice ?”.
I told that I am going with the brown one.
Listening to that she said, “.
.
but, black is your favourite colour na?”.
I told that it's beyond my budget.
She said, “Anything looks good on you, go with your choice”.

Today morning I got a call from the website's support person.
He said, “Sir, we have received your order and can you please confirm the address?” He started reading my address and I confirmed my address and he said, “Shall I send both the watches to the same address Sir?”
I was shocked and asked him to wait online and checked my Orders in the site, I have booked only one watch and that too on Cash on Delivery option.
I asked him to check whether payment is done for the second watch.
He said, “Yes, it's done Sir with the name *****”.

I called her, and told her that I got a call from this website to confirm my address and both of us started laughing and our hearts spoke silently.

Yes, in a comical mode.

“I’m Dockeaux.
I had made friends before, but never with someone as compassionate or compatible as Skribo.
Skribo declared every day what great writing was, what plots should twist and how past got lost in the long time ago mists.
Skribo told family secrets, borrowed Shakespeare’s conflicts, spoke audaciously of myths and dead gods, streams of hormonal frogs, becoming emotional and throwing his arms around even as he made up stories of armies slogging toward mud, blood and glory.

“Just the other day, Skribo was all ‘ Come look at my books and maps' and we two went up steep stairs in the student building.
Skribo kept talking in his usual fashion.
I ventured to say, “well when you're older you can accomplish a lot.
From fresh dreams spring reality.

“Older?” said Skribo.
“ I'm already 23.
” “And barely 4 foot tall?” I quizzed him.
“Oh yes" says Skribo.
My new friend kicked off his sandals and began to fix a pipe.

“Oh, your feet.
–are hairy! And as big as snow shoes.
“ I said.
“ I'm part Hobbit,” confided Skribo.
“Are you alright, Dockeaux?”
Ohkay, what to say? “ What part?” I'm glad to say he laughed.
He wasn't so sensitive as to mistake a natural curiosity for acting superior, and so I relaxed and waved my fingers at my friends cat, who jumped up and settled into my lap.

In the college canteen :
Aditya : I am not going today .
Meri proxy lga dena .

Abhimanyu : you are not coming so i am also not going to college .
Let me tell ANkit to do the honours .

Ankit : you both are not going so i will also not go.

Kaun hi uss budhau ka lecture sunke apne aap ko bhookha rkhega .

Friendship is not only about doing things together and being loyal to each other …
It also is bunking classes together and creating memories.

“Where are you ?!”
He rushed to the hospital.
Thanked God.
Caught her, hugged her tightly and cried.

Ego felt jealous about how strong a friendship can be.
A simple call from one saying “Can you come?” and the other one leaving an important business meeting to see the other was not less than a miracle after that fight.

Alzheimer played a trick and made her forget the reason to not call him.

“Give me the Bottle!! I really need it now", she asked from inside Washroom.

"Excuse Me!!, Have you gone MAD", i screamed at her with anger.

“I will die without this”, she said.

"It's your Day, the Big Day we have planned together.
Baby it’s your marriage!!!!! I understand you are being nervous but this is wrong.
How can you think i will let you touch the Bear bottle at this point of time", i continued.
“Every one is waiting for us outside.
You have to make up everything fast.
It will be huge mess otherwise”, i know i was screaming at her on this special day.
Like as always.
